ROBORACK

In ROBORACK projects, our racking systems are operated by autonomous robots which are not attached to the racks. These robots handle the storage and retrieval of goods, mostly in bins or boxes. The system replaces manual order-picking techniques and offers a significant advantage over automated mini-load systems. The implementation can be completed in a short period and the return on investment is much faster.

Operation

In the ROBORACK, bins, boxes or other small goods are loaded and unloaded by a non-rack-bound robot (ACR).

Speed and Efficiency

As the robot operates autonomously in the warehouse, speed is relatively high, especially when paired with an aisle-bound robot combined with AMRs that bring goods to the order picker.

Storage Capacity

The flexible bin sizes and compartment layouts ensure efficient storage of various types of goods. The racks are designed for large depths, allowing optimal use of storage space, and depths of up to 3,000 mm can be achieved if the bins are interlocked.

Flexibility

The system is highly flexible, as the robots are not aisle-bound. This makes it a very scalable model, where capacity can be easily and quickly expanded.

Advantages of the NEDCON ROBORACK

  • Racking systems specifically designed for robotic applications
  • Racking systems that meet the strict requirements of the robotics supplier
  • Easily scalable by adding extra robots and/or racking systems
  • Available in CO2-reduced steel

Yes, we have our own modern production facilities in Pardubice (Czech Republic) and Shelbyville, Kentucky (United States), where we manufacture the racking systems ourselves. The robots are supplied by our partners.

Our racking systems always comply with the applicable European and American standards and/or guidelines. Additionally, a suitable racking system can be designed for seismic zones.

We build up to approximately 12 meters (39 feet), depending on the requirements of the robots.

The load capacities are entirely customized to meet the customer's needs. Because of a wide range of available components, there are virtually no limitations in load-bearing capacity.
