At NEDCON, we continuously strive to optimize our processes and deliver faster, more effective solutions to our customers. One of the key innovations driving this progress is the CSA Tool. From speeding up quotation processes to enhancing customer experience with realistic visualizations, the CSA Tool is helping us and our partners to work smarter and faster.
In this blog, our colleague Marko Vorpahl shares his insights into the development and practical use of the CSA Tool.
What exactly is the CSA tool?
The CSA Tool is a powerful configuration and visualization software designed for pallet racking, shelving, and multi-tier systems. It enables sales teams and resellers to quickly create high-quality quotations, complete with detailed drawings and visualizations.
“What I find particularly exciting is the integration with CET (Configura Extension Technology),” says Marko. “It enables us not only to configure storage systems but also to create high-quality 2D and 3D visualizations, complete with people, forklifts, and other realistic elements, which make the proposed solutions more tangible.”
A bridge between technology and commerce
Marko has been involved with the CSA Tool from the very beginning, initially as a tester during the beta testing phase and now as a key user and trainer. He understands the tool’s full potential and how it connects technical precision with commercial speed.
“The quotation process has become significantly faster and more efficient.” says Marko. “Sales teams can now independently create complete offers, including 2D and 3D drawings, without needing CAD designers or engineers. That is a game-changer.”
Safety remains also a top priority in the CSA Tool’s design. ‘’The tool includes built-in standards, safety values, and load tables. Combined with our Rack Design Software (RDS), we can also configure systems statically. This ensures technical reliability’’, Marko explains.
Advantages for everybody
The CSA Tool enhances autonomy and clarity across the organization. Sales teams are equipped to manage standard projects from start to finish, while engineering can focus on more complex, custom solutions. This shift not only improves efficiency but also strengthens collaboration between departments.
Customers benefit as well. “They often receive a complete quote with clear visualizations within a day, even without technical knowledge, they can understand the proposal.” says Marko. It is a smarter way of working that benefits everyone involved.
A success story and looking ahead
One standout example of the CSA Tool’s impact occurred when a new reseller joined a tender process at the last minute. “Because of the CSA Tool, NEDCON was able to deliver a complete offer, including visuals and technical drawings, within just a few hours,” Marko proudly explains. “The result: a successful bid and a long-term partnership.”
Looking ahead, the CSA Tool continues to evolve. “There are exciting new features and product integrations on the roadmap,” Marko shares. “While I can not reveal too much yet, it is clear that the tool will keep getting smarter, faster, and even more user-friendly.”
