The challenge

How to design a space-efficient, flexible warehouse for diverse products?

Working on a solution together

In 2019, Rensa Family Company built its new warehouse on Bedrijvenweg in Doetinchem and we joined the project to optimize the layout. We considered how the warehouse could expand in the future, how small goods could be efficiently stored in pallet racking and how large or irregularly sized products could be smartly accommodated.

As Rensa Family Company continued to grow, an important expansion step was taken in 2021: the wide aisles were converted into a narrow-aisle warehouse, increasing storage capacity. Two wide aisles were retained to easily handle oversized pallets. The existing pallet racking, which included 10 double racking rows, was expanded with a total of 518 additional sections.

By converting wide aisles into narrow aisles, the warehouse now combines both, offering maximum flexibility and efficiency.
