How can we efficiently and safely store our semi-finished and finished products in a new very-narrow-aisle warehouse directly adjacent to our production environment?
Working on a solution together
The entire warehouse was built using the Greentec Steel Edition 600, making Nijhuis Saur Industries the first company in the Netherlands to apply this innovative and sustainable racking technology. Thanks to this material, we achieved a 72% CO₂ reduction on our own produced components without making any concessions in terms of stability and safety.
For Nijhuis Saur Industries, we delivered a complete narrow‑aisle warehouse featuring a semi‑manual pallet storage system. The layout consists of safe, robust, and tailor‑made racking that integrates seamlessly with the adjacent production environment. Storage capacity is maximized to its fullest potential. The outer row of racking is designed for operation with a reach truck; therefore, we added extra protection in the form of DEFENDERS to ensure maximum safety for both the truck and the racking.

Because of the use of greentec steel Edition 600, the new warehouse at Nijhuis Saur Industries is significantly more sustainable, with a 72% CO₂ reduction on the materials used. With the realization of this very narrow aisle warehouse, Nijhuis Saur Industries now has a safe, efficient, and future proof storage solution that seamlessly integrates with the production environment. The capacity of over 2,160 pallet locations and 120 Ugly positions ensures maximum use of the available space, while the combination of mesh panels, DEFENDERS, and the reach truck operating zone ensures a highly safe working environment.
