Health & Safety

Safety has priority in everything that we do. Health and safety are core values at NEDCON, just as important as revenue, profit, quality, productivity and other business objectives. Safe thinking is in our DNA and you will notice this in every step of our process, from design to installation.

Every component checked

Our engineers accurately calculate the design specifications and, when doing so, make use of the validated data provided by our Test Department. Here we subject all of our structures and components to heavy testing, so that we know exactly how they will behave in practice. This way you will never be faced with unwanted surprises. At our production plant in Pardubice (CZ), we ensure your safety by checking the quality and safety of all the components we produce.

Risk assessment

At the beginning of each project, we conduct a thorough Design Risk Assessment (DRA). Our Account Manager initiates the process by preparing the DRA, which identifies all potential risks of the project. We carefully map all project risks, including financial risks, specific regulations in the country of execution and the safety of the workspace. If any additional permits are required, we ensure they are requested in time, so the project can proceed without unexpected disruptions.

The DRA is then handed over to the Engineering and Project Team. Throughout the project, regular evaluations are conducted to continuously optimize your project and make the conditions at the construction site as safe as possible. This ensures that the project is carried out safely, from start to completion.

Careful coordination

During installation, we use experienced installation teams. Because we are often not the only ones in your (new) warehouse, our installation foreman will carefully coordinate activities with the other subcontractors on the site. During commissioning, he will go through everything with you as a final check. When you eventually sign, you can be sure that you have invested in safety.

ISO 45001
NEDCON has reached an important milestone by achieving ISO 45001 certification. The ISO 45001 certificate is an internationally recognized safety management system that stands for health and safety in the working environment. The certificate confirms that NEDCON consistently meets the highest safety management requirements, allowing the company to provide a safe and healthy work environment. Obtaining ISO 45001 certification is a testament to our commitment to creating a safety culture based on prevention and awareness of risks. Our goal is to ensure that all our employees, customers and suppliers have a safe and healthy work environment. By achieving ISO 45001 certification, we have demonstrated that we are a responsible organization with a strong focus on improving the safety of our employees. We are proud of achieving this certification and will continue to work to improve our safety practices.

Safety of our own employees

The safety of our own employees is also a top priority. Our Health & Safety department ensures that our employees are aware of all safety regulations.

VCA VOL
All employees involved in projects or customer activities hold a VCA VOL certificate. This means they not only have the necessary expertise but are also trained to recognize and prevent potential safety risks. This way we can guarantee that every project is carried out according to the highest safety standards.

All on the same page
Once a year, we organize Health & Safety Days for our employees. During these days, NEDCON focuses entirely on safety. We invite inspiring speakers from various fields to discuss the importance of safety. For example, we had mountaineer and deep-sea diver Melvin Redeker, who explained the crucial importance of safety and trust in colleagues. These days serve as a refresher and ensure that we all align our focus on safety.

Golden Helmet
To reward exceptional achievements in Health & Safety, we award the Golden Helmet every six months. This award is given to a colleague who has made an outstanding contribution to Health & Safety within their field of expertise. The names of these colleagues are displayed on our NEDCON Wall of Fame, ensuring their efforts are permanently recognized.
