How to automate a distribution center to quickly and accurately supply 200+ Meijer stores?

Warehouses and distribution centers are increasingly required to be more dynamic, flexible, and agile. This is only possible when equipped with extremely dynamic storage and order-picking systems. Fortunately, that is precisely the expertise of our partner, WITRON.
Together with WITRON, we developed a world-class distribution center. We installed 9 crane aisles, 23,216 pallet spaces and a storage height of 22.4 meters, enabling double-deep storage for two pallets per slot. Additionally, we installed work platforms across 10 levels, creating 10 floors of operational space.

Efficient storage
More than 23,000 pallet spaces with double-deep storage maximize capacity within minimal space.
Height & scale
The warehouse reaches 22.4 meters and consists of 45 sections with 9 pallet levels, designed for optimal flexibility.
Complex design
A meticulous assembly of 79 km of uprights, 59 km of diagonals, 32,500 beams and 20 km of backstop profiles made this technically complex project possible.

A fully automated and hyper-dynamic distribution center that ensures fast and continuous supply to Meijer stores.
