A successful first edition of the NEDCON Innovation Day is a fact. On Wednesday, October 16, NEDCON has invited a select group of people, all working within our industry, to share knowledge on topics such as, safety, inspection, regulations, industrial floors, anchors, collision protection and product development. Visitors left our Innovation Centre very enthusiastically. What made it such a big success?
Sharing knowledge is always important to us. The Innovation Day is the perfect opportunity to bring people together who are involved with warehouses, or topics related such as logistics, and take time to answer all questions in detail. Compared to visiting a trade fair, this is a big advantage for Mike Huinink. ‘’Because of the intimate set-up, there was much personal attention; at trade fairs the conversations are more volatile. My questions could be answered extensively, which was enormously helpful.’’ Mike Huinink, Project Manager at Rensa.
The afternoon was filled with all sorts of sessions. From warehouses’ preliminary process (floors), to installation (anchors) to the final support for maintaining warehouses (product developments, safety and regulations). ‘’ It was a pleasant afternoon, a good mix of informative topics that was provided through the presentations. As far as I am concerned, this event is definitely worth repeating. It will be challenging to have a great program again next time. If NEDCON organizes an "Innovation Day" again next year, I would like to be present.’’ Frans Hardus, Independent Warehouse Expert.
We do not want to inform our relations about storage systems only but also about topics related to the field of warehouse and logistics. Given the positive responses, we succeeded. We want to thank all visitors for their time, attention and the willingness to share knowledge. We surely become a lot smarter in just one afternoon.
